Have you ever had hand, wrist, or shoulder pain in Downward Dog? Do you have arthritis, joint pain, hand, wrist or shoulder injuries, muscle weakness, upper body fatigue, or restricted use of your upper body? Or, would you like to explore fun new ways to adapt your practice? In this class, you will learn how to move through a vinyasa flow sequence without putting any weight on your upper body. Chanel will move you through a dynamic practice that will include seated and floor stretches and standing Sun Salutations, and play with exercises to support your balance and build your core and lower body strength. Give your upper body a break without losing the feel of a full and fun flow. Be prepared to move from seated to standing and explore a new way of looking at your practice. You'll leave feeling empowered knowing that you can adapt and modify your poses in any of our vinyasa flow classes. Chanel will break down and demonstrate a variety of ways to adapt and explore a hands-free practice and move you through a seated to standing flow where you'll get to try it all out! This class is appropriate for all students with all experience levels, including new and beginner students who are still learning the basics.
You'll get a great workout, and still have energy later.

Chanel is a RYT-200 certified instructor who started her yoga journey when she injured her knee and her physical therapist suggested yoga as a form of healing. At first she thought yoga was going to just be “stretching” but quickly learned it brought far more benefits both emotionally and physically. Chanel teaches a vinyasa (flow) style class that encourages her students to try new things in a non-judgemental environment.
