Restorative Yoga

60min

About this Class

In this hour-long restorative class, expect a gentle, slow, still style of yoga that involves long, passive holds in a series of 4-6 restful poses. Students are often supported by a variety of props to enhance or deepen their experience and achieve a state of total relaxation and release. The goal, if any, is to be in a place of no effort at all! Sarah will talk a little on the front end of the postures in order to offer guidance and suggestions for positioning and use of props, then will be quiet; much of the class will be held in relative silence. Sometimes the class will include options to engage in gentle forms of meditation or breathwork throughout in order to equip their minds to gently focus as a part of their relaxation, as well. Recommended props: blocks (or books), strap (or scarf/towel), blanket, pillow or bolster

No Experience Required

This class is appropriate for all students with all experience levels, including new and beginner students who are still learning the basics.

Gentle, Slow

Gentle, with slow sustained movement on the mat.

We require all students to have their camera ON for the duration of class. This is for a few reasons: for the safety of all students, and for the teacher to be able to give in the moment feedback and support. Read more about this here.
