This smooth, gentle, and flowing exercise form is designed to promote joint care, reduce stress and anxiety, and improve posture, and balance. The mind-body connection is strengthened through control of smooth, gentle movements and body alignment. Cognitive thinking and mental focus are enhanced through memorizing tai chi forms and repetitive movements designed to loosen joints, relax the mind, and improve the overall quality of life. NOTE: We recommend comfortable clothes, bare feet, socks or flat, flexible shoes attached at the heel. You’ll need a space free of clutter on the floor of at least 6 ft. by 6 ft. Recommended props: chair (for a seated practice or balance)
This class is appropriate for all students with all experience levels, including new and beginner students who are still learning the basics.
