SPECIAL CLASS: Reduce Stress & Anxiety with Tapping

30min

About this Class

EFT Emotional Freedom Technique, sometimes simply referred to as "Tapping," is an effective body-based mindfulness-based approach to teach our bodies to integrate stressful or challenging situations, thoughts, sensations, and feelings so that we feel empowered to take action - or pause - in a way that best serves us. EFT is an empirically-validated practice shown to reduce the intensity of anxiety both in immediate terms and over time when performed as a regular practice. Often people experience immediate relief after one session, but it can also be used daily to teach your nervous system to balance, restore, and repair itself even while you experience stressful stimuli. By tapping on certain energetic points, or meridian points, of the body while acknowledging your stressors then prompting your body to relax, you can balance your energy holistically. We will identify the issue (stress & anxiety), rate its intensity, perform the "set up" (acknowledge the issue and accept yourself despite it), then perform the EFT basic protocol sequence tapping on 8 points for several rounds, and then retest your perceived intensity. Recommended props:: meditation cushion, pillow, bolster or chair
