Chair yoga provides a safe and accessible way for anyone struggling with balance or movement, or simply looking for a gentler practice, to take full advantage of yoga’s amazing health benefits. This 45 minute class focuses on mindful breathing, gentle vinyasa, balance, stretching and strengthening muscles and ends with a peaceful relaxation session. (This class is perfect for seniors or prenatal moms. ) NOTE: Position your camera on a table approximately 6-8 feet from your chair and angle to the extent possible so that your instructor will have a full view of your body standing as well as sitting in the chair. Recommended props: chair, strap (or scarf/towel)
This class is appropriate for all students with all experience levels, including new and beginner students who are still learning the basics.

Marie is a certified instructor at the 200 level through yogaspirit® Studios. She also studies alternative modalities for health and wellness and is a Holistic Nutrition and Wellness Consultant, Mindfulness Meditation Educator, Reiki Master/Teacher and Sound Healing Therapist (using Tibetan Singing Bowls). What Marie loves most about yoga is that it is a never-ending journey, with continual opportunities to delve deeper into the practice. She hopes to inspire others to experience their own lifelong yogic journey.

I so enjoy this class with Marie. I love the way we do stretching and use breath to movement. Marie does the exercises so that my upper and lower body ie my entire body feels stretched and relaxed and less tight at the end of class.

I'm old, stiff & creaky, and I've been way too sedentary. This class got me moving with little risk of overdoing it or causing pain or injury. Ace!
