Full body barre is a dance-fitness hybrid class combining ballet & modern dance-inspired moves with elements of yoga and strength training. The invigorating class also focuses on high reps of a small range of movements that will tone the butt and thighs. You will need a sturdy chair with a solid back, a block, light 1-3 pound weights (optional), and occasionally a resistance loop. Recommended props: sturdy chair with solid back, block (or book), light 1-3 lb hand weights (or water bottles/cans), resistance loops
This class is appropriate for all students with all experience levels, including new and beginner students who are still learning the basics.
You'll get a great workout, and still have energy later.
Cornelius found his way to yoga through his college dance teacher and reconnected with yoga, years later, after a dance injury while performing professionally with The Lion King on Broadway.
