About this Class

Are you feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or uneasy? Try this class if you're in need of some grounding. This class will teach you to focus on alignment of the body while holding postures for several breaths, and to develop stillness in your practice. The classes are themed to help you create a safe space on your yoga mat, so you can relax and embrace yourself just as you are now. You'll learn to value stillness. By practicing regularly, you can rediscover and embody your innate state of equilibrium and emotional balance. In addition to toning your body and mind muscles, you will also develop your self-awareness, as you observe your thoughts and emotions. In this class, you will learn breathing and relaxation techniques to lower your pulse and blood pressure, as well as interrupt your habitual thought patterns. With practice and dedication, you can rediscover your innate poise and emotional balance. The class is suitable for students who already have a basic knowledge of yoga. Modifications and variations will be offered in every class. Use of props is recommended. Recommended props: yoga mat, blocks (or books), strap (or scarf/towel), blanket

Previous yoga experience strongly recommended.
