About this Class

Gurney’s easy-to-follow movement patterns integrate body, breath and spirit to enhance vitality, agility and inner strength. The gentle flow of Tai Chi Qigong takes you from busy mind to grateful physical body, where balance and vibrancy can be cultivated. Let Gurney guide you to your innate source of resilience and grace in this uplifting yet calming class. NOTE: We recommend comfortable clothes, bare feet, socks or flat, flexible shoes attached at the heel. You’ll need a space free of clutter on the floor of at least 6 ft. by 6 ft. Recommended props: chair (for a seated practice or balance) Also meets: Monday

No Experience Required

This class is appropriate for all students with all experience levels, including new and beginner students who are still learning the basics.

Meet Your Teacher

Gurney BolsterJoined August 2020

Gurney began studying tai chi in 1978 and was first drawn to the practice as a way of cultivating awareness, inner strength, and tranquility, leading her to a more balanced and fulfilling quality of life. Fascinated by the power of movement to enhance healing, self-expression and well-being she has pursued years of study in dance, creative process and sensory-motor integration. She holds a Masters Degree in Dance & Movement Therapy. Her long experience teaching people of all ages and abilities continues to inspire her to find new ways to help students find joy and self-confidence through movement.

I do a lot of stuff, so for me it's not a challenge like a HIIT class. It's a totally beautiful difference kind of challenge. Like being really aware of what you've doing. I need a moderation button. I believe it's a great way to condition my body and mind
