Commonly referred to as “meditation in motion”, Tai Chi is characterized by methodically slow, continuous, and circular movements designed to stretch the body, promote balance, and reduce stress. Participants are encouraged to move only within their level of comfort to ensure safety while practicing coordinated movements and deep breathing to promote concentration and focus. NOTE: We recommend comfortable clothes, bare feet, socks or flat, flexible shoes attached at the heel. You’ll need a space free of clutter on the floor of at least 6 ft. by 6 ft. Recommended props: chair (for a seated practice or balance)
This class is appropriate for all students with all experience levels, including new and beginner students who are still learning the basics.

This class brings me joy. Sharif is always very attentive of the class and any needs or feedback expressed by students. He also has such a calming presence that always flows into me regardless of what I bring into the class that day.
