Yin Yoga supports and strengthens the Yin aspects of the body (connective tissue, ligaments and tendons) as well as enhancing and aligning the more subtle aspects of the body’s energy as it relates to Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Meridian system. The practice of Yin Yoga also “exercises” our mindful awareness muscle, increasing our capacity to be calm and present in the moment. Gain more ease and freedom in daily movement as result of this quiet, meditative practice. Recommended props: yoga mat, blocks (or books), bolster (or pillow/rolled up towels) Also meets: Friday
This class is appropriate for all students with all experience levels, including new and beginner students who are still learning the basics.
Gentle, with slow sustained movement on the mat.
