Christine is an excellent instructor who pays attention to her students; her voice is calm and peaceful. Christine was very welcoming, identified me by name when joining the class, as well as during the session. I believe she'll become a favorite (if her classes are scheduled when I can attend!)

I took Christine's class last week for the first time and loved it. So I took it again this week and loved it even more. She keeps the poses fresh and the time flies by (in a good way!!)

Christine's class was well thought out and executed. She guides her class with kindness and compassion that promotes relaxation through meaning prompts. The benefits were carried forward for days after the class.

I really look forward to Christine’s classes, And I try my best to not miss them. With each class I feel relaxed the tensions and blockages that existed prior to class starting dissipates by the end of class. Her voice is extremely calming and the directions called are easy to follow without looking at the screen.

It was my first class with Christine and I loved her energy. I'd take this class again or another class with her if the time works for sure!

More about Christine Engelfried

My love for movement began at the age of 3. I fell in love with dance and began to passionately pursue it through studios and conservatories and then at the undergraduate level and professionally thereafter. I found yoga initially as a young adult in my dance studies; the class was aptly named 'Yoga for Dancers' and excitedly I entered the classroom hoping I might be able to increase my flexibility or possibly attain an elusive advanced posture. And though yes I received many benefits from the physical practice I was given the gift of something deeper - a window, an opportunity to connect to a deeper sense of self - a knowing, a place of peace and resonance that existed beyond my physical form, even the forms of my thoughts. Yoga has profoundly changed my life. It is my hope to create spaces for people to come home to themselves. I enjoy creating a welcoming, supportive atmosphere for all participants where they can experience the joy of movement, stillness and savor the gift of this life. I continue to teach yoga and dance professionally and have the honor of working as a Founding Guide with Emmy Award winning artist, Julianne Hough and her movement platform KINRGY through which I’ve had the opportunity to also work with Tony Robbins, GOOP by Gywenth Paltrow and be part of Oprah Winfrey’s 20/20 Vision Tour. In my work as Urban Zen Integrative Therapist (a modality that combines the use of yoga therapy, restorative postures, mindfulness meditation, Reiki and essential oils) I worked in a clinical setting with patients with symptoms ranging from acute to palliative. Working with patients and their caregivers was truly a transformative experience. I was able to witness first hand how mindfulness, movement, breath and awareness can change lives. As a first time mom, I am deeply grateful for these practices however small to help anchor me in the present moment. I am deeply humbled by this practice and I am honored to share this with you. Certifications + Trainings: Certified at the 500Hour level of Yoga Teacher Training through YogaWorks, Certified Urban Zen Integrative Therapist, iRest Yoga Nidra Level 1, Reiki Master Level Certification, KINRGY Guide by Julianne Hough, Pre/ Post Natal Yoga Teacher Training, Therapeutics Yoga Teacher Training, Ayurveda Wellness Coach (in-progress)
