Dawn has been practicing yoga since 2005. She became a registered teacher with Yoga Alliance in 2011. In that time she has logged well over the 2,000 hours of teaching needed that earned her E-RYT500 designation. Off of the mat, she is a military spouse and mother of two. Her yoga practice helps her navigate her personal wellness and any challenges this life throws her way. She is passionate about sharing what she has learned about the body and how to apply yoga philosophy to day-to-day experiences.
Dawn offers so many variations (not modifications to 'the right pose' but options making each option the 'right pose'.

As usual, Dawn's class this week was excellent! It's always just what's needed and can be as easy or challenging as you'd like because she gives cues for accomodations in both directions. Dawn's classes are somehow one-size-fits-all and custom fit at the same time. She is an excellent teacher, although she points out during each class, she's the guide and your body is the teacher. She adds meaning and purpose to each class by starting out with 'food for thought' and weaves that message throughout the class. Thanks Dawn!

A great combination of flow and linked to how to handle negative thinking (ie behavioral medicine techniques) and user friendly body mechanics and physiology. I am forever impressed by Dawn's fund of knowledge, her breadth of topics and I referred to above, her teaching skills, and her fundamental humanity

Dawn is always prepared to deliver on a mindful, creative and challenging practice that you can enjoy at your own intensity. I love how she relates a meaningful quote, thoughtful saying or personal story to what can happen both on and off the mat. And after many years of taking her classes, I’m always excited to see what Dawn will bring next! Dawn is a passionate yogi, and she shares a practice that is positive, uplifting, and always a learning experience.

Dawn is a dedicated teacher who clearly prepares for each class to be away from the mundane sequences seen often in a vinyasa class. Her cues are clear and she teaches to all levels of a class, offering level-up options and room for self-expression in a safe way. I also like that she offers herself to be available to chat at the end of class. Wonderful teacher.
