I really like the level of explanation Lisa gave for the poses. Enough that I gain a greater understanding even basic poses (without being detracting). In fact the verbal cues helped me to focus more deeply. This was an excellent class for me. thx

More about Lisa Della Rocca

Ten years ago, while practicing law, I seriously injured my back and broke my arm in a slip and fall accident that left me disabled for a year. That accident was my doorway into yoga. Soon my pain diminished and eventually disappeared. My energy increased, and I was stronger, leaner and happier. I've been practicing ever since, most of the time at YogaWorks, in the San Francisco Bay Area. After ten years of practice, I began to teach and became certified by Yoga Alliance as an RYT-500 through YogaWorks, San Francisco, training under Melanie Salvatore August and Julie Conrad. I teach using "ASE" --Alignment, Stability and Elongation - to allow for a sustainable and satisfying practice. I've taught about 1000 hours so far and have loved every minute of being present with my students. My intention is to provide a safe space where you can immerse yourself in yoga, and leave class feeling relaxed, revitalized and awesome!
