Val has been a teacher for eight years and has taught classes in many different settings. She completed her 200 hour RYT teacher training 2014 at Vertical Soul Yoga and since then has taken over 200 hours of training in various yoga modalities. Her goal in each class is to provide a balanced, yet challenging practice for all students that will leave you feeling strong, able and centered.
Growing up in Colorado and living in Southern California, I love moving, especially outdoors! I will try almost any type of fitness related movement, which is what brought me to yoga. In college, I was looking for a way to stretch after running, playing rugby and lifting weights. Yoga turned out to be way more than stretching. Yoga brings me balance, strength and inner connection which has carried me through graduate school, being a public school educator, an autoimmune disease, motherhood and owning two businesses. I have continued to build upon my ever changing practice and I hope to share that through my teaching. My goal is to provide a balanced, yet challenging practice for all students that will leave them feeling strong, able and centered.
