About this Class

Pranayama is the yogic science of breathing. In yoga, breathing is considered the link between mind, body and spirit. This energizing and calming practice includes simple, mindful movements and different breathing techniques to help improve lung capacity, settle and clear the mind, gently energize the body, and balance the brain and nervous system. NOTE: This class is not appropriate for pregnant women. Please consult with your physician before performing physical activity. In general, most of our classes are accessible for pregnant women and modifications can be made throughout your practice at each phase of pregnancy. Contraindications to be aware of are inversions, twists, lying on your belly, and holding or restricting your breath (which is sometimes taught in this class). We recommend that you notify your teacher that you are pregnant so that they can support you during your class and listen to your body to take your practice at your own pace. Recommended props: meditation cushion, pillow, bolster or chair Also meets: Thursday

It felt very visceral, and gave me a fresh feeling that resonated down to the inner core of healing my body. It was as if I really became in tune with my lungs, stomach, heart, and mind especially.

I started these classes right before having multiple surgeries in one week. What I learned from Eric helped me manage my postoperative pain. Eric brings a positive energy, guiding strength and caring spirit to his classes. Highly appreciated and recommended

This was a fantastic class to start my workday with. It was a little challenging to do the alternate nostril breathing but I enjoyed learning this technique. This was my very very first class I have attended. I look forward to doing this again soon!

Perfect pace; soothing voice; clear instructions; Eric invites one to pay attention to only the breath and that is a healing release.
