SPECIAL CLASS: Deep DIve into Inverted Compass

75min

About this Class

Feeling daunted by how to approach "fancy" yoga poses or just interested in exploring what your body can do? Let's step away from forcing mimicked, aesthetic shapes and instead delve into feeling, knowledge, and empowerment so that you can adjust poses to fit YOU, not the other way around. In this 75-minute combined workshop/flow class, Lisa will deconstruct the complex pose Inverted Compass aka Super Soldier, making it more manageable, accessible, and user-friendly for all. You'll learn applicable anatomy first, move through some targeted poses in a flow to prepare your body, and finish with an in-depth breakdown of entry, multiple variations, and extensive prop usage for Inverted Compass. You'll leave with a better understanding of how your body moves--and you might just surprise yourself with what you're capable of! Class will be verbally cued, with several breakout moments demoed; some yoga experience is strongly encouraged (familiarity with the basics, like Warrior 2, is enough!), but all ranges of flexibility and strength are welcome. Two blocks and one strap needed; yoga blankets and/or bolster optional.

Previous yoga experience strongly recommended.
