A flow-based class that will bring awareness, strength and greater mobility to weak and/or tight hips. This class will pair strengthening poses with deep stretches to create a stronger, more balanced body. Modifications are given throughout. Recommended props: yoga mat, one or two blocks (or books), strap (or scarf/towel), bolster (or pillow) Also meets: Wednesday
Previous yoga experience strongly recommended.
This class expects students to have some level of prior experience.
You'll get a great workout, and still have energy later.
Val has been a teacher for eight years and has taught classes in many different settings. She completed her 200 hour RYT teacher training 2014 at Vertical Soul Yoga and since then has taken over 200 hours of training in various yoga modalities. Her goal in each class is to provide a balanced, yet challenging practice for all students that will leave you feeling strong, able and centered.

This class is phenomenal stretching, building strength in balance, hips, core, overall feeling of well being. Valerie is an excellent instructor with a gentle voice of instruction and encouragement. I'm 74 and I was comfortable yet challenged with all her moves. I love her class!!!!

What a great awakening of the entire body. Very doable stretching and clear instructions of each move. Valerie is an excellent teacher. She's clear in her instructions so you can modify for your own body.
