This class will take you through functional/strength movements that will help with navigating through real world situations. Be prepared to use your body weight to gain strength in all of your muscle groups. Functional movement/strength training is a great compliment to other workouts that you may be engaging in to make the body whole. All levels are welcome. NOTE: we recommend wearing sneakers during this class Recommended props: yoga mat or non-slip surface, chair (for balance)
This class is appropriate for all students with all experience levels, including new and beginner students who are still learning the basics.
You'll get a great workout, and still have energy later.
Charisse has been a fitness enthusiast for most of her life. Her journey started after the loss of 2 of her immediate family members due to health issues, which gave her the motivation to kick start where she is currently. She is now a Certified Personal Trainer with NASM, with a myriad of certifications. She is also a Group Fitness Instructor with Les Mills and teaches a variety of classes. Charisse's class challenges her students with total body movements in a way that is necessary for healthy aging and is suitable for all fitness levels.
