Drop into relaxation with Yoga Nidra. You'll be guided through a combination of intention settings, body scans, breath awareness and pranayama (breathing) practices, sensory responses and visualizations. Each script is unique but may be practiced for a certain length of time in order to receive the most profound relaxation for your body and mind. The entire class will be done lying on the back (and with options to sit or take another comfortable position for the duration of the practice). Recommended props: blankets, bolsters (or pillows), eye pillow (or hand towel)
This class is appropriate for all students with all experience levels, including new and beginner students who are still learning the basics.
Gentle, almost no movement.
Allison is a 500 Hour E-RYT with certifications in Vinyasa Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Prenatal Yoga, FRC® (functional range conditioning), is a third degree black belt in Karate-do, and has led international workshops, yoga teaching trainings. She is a movement lover and has an affinity for studying and exploring human movement which led her to yoga. Outside of moving and reading yoga philosophy, Allison enjoys a life full of mosaic art, language learning, and spending time with her four cats and husband.
