Allison brings an artist's skill and seasoned expertise to her Nidra classes. Her script is styled to incorporate luscious imagery using minimalist, single word associations that resonate with a selected chakra based theme.

Allison is wonderful. Her voice is clear enough to hear despite a slight hearing deficit. She took the time to demonstrate chair modification even though I was the only chair bound class member.

Let's give a hearty welcome to Allison Jeraci, another one of the newest teachers on our platform! Here's her schedule:
Who are your classes for? What kind of vibe can people expect in your class? What is your teaching style like?
My classes are for anyone who is interested in learning more about how the body works and experiencing their movement from the inside. I also incorporate props in a unique way to help you explore different poses in new ways. My teaching style is clear, experiential, and anatomically-focused. I also teach yoga nidra classes that are laid back with original meditation scripts. Each class is an adventure to the restful soul.
How did you get into yoga? Do you have other favorite types of movement? We heard you're a black belt...
I began my yoga journey as an alternative movement modality. I didn't instantly fall in love with it. I initially found it boring but there was some spark that kept pulling me back. Throughout the years, I've had the opportunity to train with many teachers who have helped me mold my style into a fusion of exploration, adventure, discipline, and curiosity. With those pillars, whether we are in a restorative pose or an arm balance, there is always something fascinating to experience. Yes, I'm a third-degree black belt in karate-do. Every once in a while, you'll see some of these elements appear in classes!
What's the most valuable lesson you've learned from your own practice? What does yoga mean to you?
The most valuable lesson I've learned from my practice is how I am constantly evolving and nothing is ever static. Some days my practice is fulfilling and helps me feel at ease with myself and other days it is frustrating in the moment but helps me in other sectors of my life. Paying attention to these details and having the space and grace to work out situations, learn something new and to have space to explore is the gift of yoga.
Do you have any pets? We love our #petsofompractice ❤️
Yes! I have 5 cats. Rocky, Walle, Dixie, Opi, and Ollie who are frequent co-teachers with me. You'll often see my blind kitties Opi and Ollie tumbling alongside me or dropping off gifts mid-class.
What is your favorite easy seasonal recipe to share right now?
I'm a huge Scottish tea drinker but the caffeine hits a little hard so for the past few years I've created a rich, bold tea alternative that is caffeine-free. I brew cacao shells with a cinnamon stick and add milk. Very easy, cozy, and tasty.
Tell us a bit about your morning routine and what gets you revved up/excited for the day?
My morning routine goes on rotation depending on the time of the year, living in the northeast of the US. Currently, my morning routine consists of brewing my cacao tea and a walking meditation through my rose garden, observing and supporting the stages of growth. After that, I take the cats on a short walk. I round off the morning writing, reading, planning, moving, or playing cribbage with my husband.
For fun, we always like to have a few extra credit questions:
